Regina Phyliss Ottum, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 8, 2021 after a 3-week battle with sepsis from Blastomycosis at Mayo Clinic Health System, Eau Claire, WI. She resided in Chippewa falls, WI.
Regina was born at Luther hospital, June 23, 1959 to Duane and Irene Ottum of Fall Creek, WI. Her favorite hobbies were crafting, knitting, crocheting, she was also a talented cake decorator.
She is proceeded in death by her son, Rupert Schutte, Both her parents Duane Edward (father) and Irene Florence (Nelson), (mother), a brother (Randy Ottum) in July 2021, A sister (Rita (Ottum) Ida) in September 2021.
She is survived by 3 children Rhoda (Rene) Perez, Rurik Schutte, Robert (Jenny) Schutte. 5 Grandchildren Angela Wood, Alex Wood, Andrew Wood, Ryan Schutte and Eric Schutte. 3 Siblings, Ralph (Peggy) Ottum, Richard Ottum, Roxianne (Ottum) (Jim) Kahan. Also 10 Nieces and Nephews, and some very special friends.
She attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and studied, LPN, accounting, business. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the past 38 years.
We as a Family would like to express our sincerest thanks to Sherry Effertz, who has been an amazing friend to her the past few years of her life. We would also like to thank the wonderful medical staff that took such great care of her during her stay at MCHS, and specially to Alli, who is a true angel on earth.
Service will be on December 14, 2021 at 430pm at The Church of Latter-Day Saints. Gravesite services will be at a later date.
One of her favorite prayers was:
God Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
