Pamela Mann

1958-01-06 2014-11-03
Pamela Dawn Strasburg (Mann), age 56, of Eau Claire died November 3, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by all she loved, after a long battle with cancer.

Pamela was born on January 6, 1958, in Eau Claire to Alvin and Ethel Mann. She married Larry Strasburg on Aug. 20, 1977, and moved out to the family farm, where Pam did foster care for several years. She also served as the Vice President for the Chippewa Valley Foster Parent Association. Following that, she cared for adults with disabilities. She devoted herself to helping others, whether it was her kids, foster kids, friends, family, random strangers, it didn’t matter to her. It was her passion.

Pam is survived by her mother, Ethel; children, Mandi, Kassia, Julia, Alexander, Ian, Zachary and Samantha; grandchildren, Jenna, Ethan, Emma, Walker, Brandon, Brianna, Jordan, Jadealynn and Kianna; siblings, Jim, Eugene, Terry, Sandy and Yvonne; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Sullivan and Howard families. No words will ever express how much your help meant to Pam and her family.

Pam grew up the road from me and we went to Washington Elementary School in Shaw Town.  She was a lot of fun and a great person.  We lost touch after school but I will bet she was a heartfelt, super, foster care person.  :-)
