Cyndy Schmidt



Cynthia "Cyndy" Gotter, age 58, of New Auburn, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire.

Cyndy was born October 12, 1958 in Eau Claire to Arthur and Greta (McCabe) Schmidt. On March 19, 1977, she married Gary Gotter in Eau Claire. Cyndy was a true homemaker: taking pride in keeping her home, cooking gourmet meals for family and friends, and tending her garden - canning her own salsa. Over the years, she and Gary were able to enjoy many trips traveling to many destinations. She enjoyed taking care of four legged animals - rescuing many, keeping some. Mostly she loved taking care of her family and being a grandmother to her grandson, Drake.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary; daughter, Ashley (Scott) Nesbit; grandson, Drake; mother, Greta Anderson; aunt, Bonnie Schmidt; other relatives and friends.

Cyndy was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Schmidt and her uncle, Harold Schmidt.
